Attending were Messrs A A Walker, H Walker, M H Walker, N Walker and Miss N Walker. The Walker name appears many times in the motorcycling history of this area, but it is not clear how many were related.
Miss Nancy Walker is the sister of Noel Walker and she was the only lady at that first meeting ( January 9, 1947) when the Club was reformed after WW2. As I mentioned previously, Noela Hellyer became the first lady member when the rules were changed much later to allow female membership. but wasn’t at the first meeting.
The first picture is of Noel Walker with his sister Nancy (later Mrs A Probert) as pillion. The second of Nancy on a solo, courtesy of her son John Probert.
