Great weekend coming up for Mac Park, our great local road race circuit, with one of the features being the annual Laurie Fox Memorial Classic Master of Mac Park for sidecars.  March 3 to 5 will see an exciting weekend of sidecars and solo races, with around 20 sidecars competing for the honour of winning the Laurie Fox Memorial Classic Master of Mac Park. Laurie was great rider and competed against Australia’s best on race circuits interstate and in Sth Australia. He was also the designer of the circuit named after Frank McNamara.
Laurie almost always wore a tie even when racing and so the tradition of wearing a tie in his memory was instigated some years ago and sidecar teams gather at the start each year for a photo.
