Just recently we have lost 3 motorcyclist of bygone eras. Harry Vause (aged 92) and the last of the 3 men that walked the bush block (that was to become Mac Park) with Frank McNamara. Harry was also a successful Speedway competitor at Borderline Speedway on his Competition Matchless. Donald (Jack) Telford was one of the 1950s group who mainly rode socially, but rode in the chair for Laurie Fox at a Port Wakefield road race and lastly, Terry Crouch who was an ace tuner of two strokes. Ian Thornley won an Australian Classic Championship on one of Terry’s bikes and his other two were on the podium for that race, Rest in peace, gentlemen.
